Treaty between Strathclyde and the Kingdom of Buenos Aires

The High Contracting Parties:
STRATHCLYDE
KINGDOM OF BUENOS AIRES


Art. 1. By this Treaty, the High Contracting Parties establish among themselves diplomatic relations.

Art. 2. The High Contracting Parties shall secure to everyone within their jurisdiction the rights and freedoms defined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948 and in the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights 1950.

Art. 3.1. Strathclyde hereby recognises the Kingdom of Buenos Aires as a sovereign, independent and democratic state under International Law for all purposes and intents.
2. The Kingdom of Buenos Aires hereby recognises Strathclyde as a sovereign, independent and democratic state under International Law for all purposes and intents

Art. 4. The High Contracting Parties shall secure to their citizens free movement between their respective territories at all times:
Provided that, nothing in this Article confers Strathclyde citizenship or the right of abode in Strathclyde upon the citizens of the Kingdom of Buenos Aires.
Provided also that, nothing in this Article confers Buenos Aires citizenship or the right of abode in the Kingdom of Buenos Aires upon the citizens of Strathclyde.

Art. 5.1. Strathclyde, being a neutral state, shall not ally itself with the Kingdom of Buenos Aires but shall be free to take such measures as it shall deem expedient to maintain diplomatic relations between itself and said Kingdom, and shall take all measures within its power to protect and defend the citizens of said Kingdom who shall be within Strathclyde at any time during which said Kingdom may be engaged in war or hostilites with another micronation.
2. The Kingdom of Buenos Aires shall not ally itself with Strathclyde but shall be free to take such measures as it shall deem expedient to maintain diplomatic relations between itself and Strathclyde, and shall take all measures within its power to protect and defend the citizens of Strathclyde who shall be within the Kingdom of Buenos Aires at any unlikely time during which Strathclyde may be engaged in war or hostilities with another micronation.
3. Strathclyde hereby affirms that it will not attack or invade the Kingdom of Buenos Aires, or otherwise violate the territorial integrity or national sovereignty of the same, or harm the person or interests of any citizen of the same.
4. The Kingdom of Buenos Aires hereby affirms that it will not attack or invade Strathclyde, or otherwise violate the territorial integrity or national sovereignty of the same, or harm the person or interests of any citizen of the same.

Art. 6. No person shall suffer death for any offence. Under no circumstances may either of the High Contracting Parties deviate from this Article.

Art. 7. No visa shall be required by any citizen of either of the High Contracting Parties for his travel between the same High Contracting Parties. And neither of the High Contracting Parties shall impose obstacles in the way of any such travel between the High Contracting Parties.

Art. 8. Notwithstanding that citizenship is not conferred under any circumstances by this Treaty, it shall be lawful for the citizens of one High Contracting Party to travel to the other High Contracting Party to work there or reside there:
Provided always that, any such period of residence or work shall amount to not more than one year at any one time.

Art. 9.1. His Majesty the King of Buenos Aires, the Prime Minister of said Kingdom, the Government (or any member thereof) of said Kingdom shall enjoy full sovereign immunity whilst within the jurisdiction of Strathclyde.
2. Subject only to the law of Strathclyde in force for the time being, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Buenos Aires, any member of his diplomatic staff, or any other diplomat of any rank of said Kingdom shall enjoy full diplomatic immunity whilst within the jurisdiction of Strathclyde.
3. His Grace the King of Strathclyde, the Prime Minister of Strathclyde, the Government (or any member thereof) of Strathclyde shall enjoy full sovereign immunity whilst within the jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Buenos Aires.
4. Subject only to the law of the Kingdom of Buenos Aires in force for the time being, the Ambassador of Strathclyde, any member of his diplomatic staff, or any other diplomat of any rank of Strathclyde shall enjoy full diplomatic immunity whilst within the jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Buenos Aires.
5. Nothing in this Article shall apply to the commission of treason or espionage against Strathclyde or against the Kingdom of Buenos Aires respectively by any of the persons heretofore mentioned.
6. In Strathclyde, the websites or any other virtual property which shall together constitute the Embassy of the Kingdom of Buenos Aires shall be deemed for the purposes of this Article to be part of the territory of said Kingdom and as such shall be treated as being under the sole jurisdiction of said Kingdom; in said Kingdom, the websites or any other virtual property which shall together constitute the Embassy of Strathclyde shall be deemed for the purposes of this Article to be part of the territory of Strathclyde and as such shall be treated as being under the sole jurisdiction of Strathclyde.
7. The High Contracting Parties hereby declare their assent to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations 1961, and their affirmation to abide by all and sundry the provisions of the same.

Art. 10. Upon the signing of this Treaty by the King of Strathclyde and the Prime Minister of Strathclyde, and by the King of Buenos Aires and the Prime Minister of said Kingdom, there shall be--
1. Established in Strathclyde an Embassy of the Kingdom of Buenos Aires, which shall be occupied by an Ambassador appointed by the King of Buenos Aires according to its own law and received by the King of Strathclyde:
